Meet “Coach Sweat”

Justin Cotter is a personal trainer and a corrective exercise specialist who is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Many of you may also know him as “Coach Sweat”, the creator of the Ultimate Grind.

Justin’s concept of Personalized Group Fitness is what makes the Ultimate Grind truly unique. For 9 years, Justin was a high school math teacher (in 2008 he was actually the “Teacher of the Year” at Lawrence Academy). As a teacher, Justin quickly realized that each student had different needs and goals, yet they all had to be taught at once…in one classroom, at one time. He realized that the only way to be an effective teacher was to “personalize” group education. In fact, every successful teacher he met seemed to have an effective way of doing this.

As a personal trainer, Justin noticed the same need in the world of fitness. Fitness enthusiasts seemed to have 2 choices:

1) Pay a significant amount of money to work with a personal trainer on a regular basis, so that they could have their unique needs and goals addressed, or….

2) Participate in a “one-size-fits-all” exercise class or boot camp

Justin realized that people could greatly benefit from a personalized group fitness program, and he began to develop the Ultimate Grind “Flagship Program” into what it is today.

All this being said, Justin does offer 1-on-1 Personal Training.
